KOMPSAT-6 will be equipped with the sub-meter level resolution radar (SAR) developed and manufactured by local industry.

It will use the unique 1N class, single propellant thruster and be indigenously developed by Korean companies with KARI

KOMPSAT-7 will be equipped with the AEISS-HR (Adavanced Earth Imaging Sensor System-High Resolution) , which possesses 0.3m or less resolution optical imaging capability

Geostationary Satellite / GEO-KOMPSAT-2 (Cheollian-2)

The two satellites (GK-2A and 2B) are developed to monitor the weather, ocean color, and atmospheric environment around the Korean Peninsula

GK-2A is scheduled to be launched in May 2018

GK-2B is scheduled to be launched in March 2019

Compact Advanced Satellite 500-1 (CAS500-1)

CAS500 is medium-sized satellites developed in Korea to provide satellite images for the public needs

CAS500-1 will be launched in 2019 and CAS500-2 in 2020

Resolution : < 0.5m (Panchromatic: PAN), < 2.0m (Multi-spectral: MS) (based on altitude of 500km)
